2024-25 NBA MVP odds: Doncic favored; Tatum, AD make leaps

The NBA season is underway, which means it's time to dive into the regular-season MVP market.

As the winner of the NBA's most coveted award in three of the last four seasons, Nikola Jokic (+400) opened up near the top of the oddsboard — but not the very top.

That honor belonged to Luka Doncic, who led the Mavericks to the NBA Finals last season, where they fell to the Celtics.

He was at +370 to begin the season.

Let's take a look at the NBA MVP odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of Oct. 28.

2024-25 NBA MVP odds:

Luka Doncic: +320 (bet $10 to win $42 total)
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: +350 (bet $10 to win $45 total)
Jayson Tatum: +450 (bet $10 to win $55 total)
Nikola Jokic: +750 (bet $10 to win $85 total)
Anthony Edwards: +1000 (bet $10 to win $110 total)
Giannis Antetokounmpo: +1400 (bet $10 to win $150 total)
Anthony Davis: +1800 (bet $10 to win $190 total)
Jalen Brunson: +2000 (bet $10 to win $210 total)

Making a large leap up the board after one week of play is Boston's Jayson Tatum, who moved from +1200 to +450.

His Celtics are 3-0, and through the first three games, he's averaging 33 points, 6.3 rebounds and 6.0 assists.

Also charging up the board is Lakers star Anthony Davis.

L.A. is also 3-0, and Davis is leading the league in scoring after the first week, at 34 points a night. He's adding 11 rebounds to that.
