Chase Brown's BEST PLAYS from 163-yard game | Week 9
11 HOURS AGO • YOUTUBE
Capitalizes on lead-back role Brown rushed 27 for 120 yards and brought in all five targets for 37 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals' 41-27 win over the Raiders on Sunday.
Impact With Zack Moss (neck) sidelined, Brown essentially had the Bengals' backfield to himself. The second-year back mustered career highs in both rush attempts and rushing yardage, and he recorded his second receiving touchdown of the campaign on an impressive one-yard catch in the back of the end zone late in the first quarter. Brown had already been trending toward the No. 1 back role -- Sunday marked his sixth straight game with double-digit carries -- and given the returns he provided against the Raiders, Brown should remain atop the ground attack irrespective of Moss's status for a Week 10 road matchup against the Ravens on Thursday night.

Three-down role likely awaits Brown is expected to take on the majority of the snaps out of the Cincinnati backfield in Sunday's game against the Raiders with Zack Moss (neck) inactive for the contest, Paul Deh...
Impact Brown had already played 48 percent of the snaps or more in each of the last three games while outproducing Moss and seemingly emerging as Option 1A in Cincinnati's backfield timeshare, but the absence of Moss for Week 9 should pave the way for Brown to see his most significant playing time to date. Cincinnati's other active running backs include special-teams standout Trayveon Williams and practice-squad call-up Kendall Milton, neither of whom have logged a snap on offense in 2024. Expect the backups to be sprinkled in lightly while Brown likely handles a three-down role, at least for as long as Sunday's contest stays competitive.
19 HOURS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Added touches likely with Moss hurt Brown is likely to see the lion's share of touches in the Bengals backfield Sunday against the Raiders, as Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports that Zack Moss (neck) is doubtful.
Impact Brown stands to benefit from Moss's surprise addition to the injury report Friday. While Moss has been on hand to split backfield duties, Brown has played more than half of Cincinnati's offensive snaps only twice this season, and Brown was on the field for 48 percent of snaps in Week 8 against the Eagles compared to Moss's 52 percent. If the Bengals continue to distrust Brown's pass protection, that could create an opportunity for Trayveon Williams to play a meaningful role against the Raiders as well.

Salvages day with TD Brown rushed 12 times for 32 yards and a touchdown and brought in two of four targets for four yards in the Bengals' 37-17 loss to the Eagles on Sunday.
Impact Brown outpaced Zack Moss by seven carries as the clear lead back, but neither player found much success on the ground. However, Brown did record his fourth rushing touchdown of the season on a four-yard run in the latter portion of the third quarter, and he also managed double-digit carries for the fifth straight game. Brown projects to remain atop Cincinnati's ground attack in a favorable Week 9 home matchup against the Raiders.

Leads Cincy backfield Brown rushed the ball 15 times for 44 yards in Sunday's 21-14 win over the Browns. He added two receptions on two targets for nine yards.
Impact Brown seemed to flip the Cincinnati backfield in his favor in Week 6 after Zack Moss lost a fumble, and that usage continued in Sunday's win. He saw 17 total touches to Moss' nine, and he out-gained Moss on the ground 44-7. While Brown's usage was positive, he left plenty to be desired in terms of efficiency, as 11 of his 15 carries went for three yards or fewer. Despite the disappointing performance, he looks to be in line for plenty of volume heading into a Week 8 matchup against the Eagles.

Gets extra work in win Brown rushed the ball 10 times for 53 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 17-7 win over the Giants. He added two receptions on three targets for 11 yards.
Impact Brown split work evenly with Zack Moss throughout the first half, and neither back was effective. However, Moss began the third quarter on the field and lost a fumble, leading to him being benched for the rest of the game. Brown remained unimpressive for the majority of the time with the backfield to himself, including coughing up the ball as Cincinnati was attempting to close out the win. He did manage to redeem himself with a game-clinching 30-yard scamper one play later, and things continue to point to Brown gaining a larger role in the backfield moving forward.

Suiting up Sunday Brown (quadricep) is listed as active for Sunday's game at the Giants, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Impact Though coach Zac Taylor noted Friday that Brown would be good to go for the contest, the running back was ultimately deemed questionable ahead of Week 6 action after logging his second straight limited practice. While Brown's availability versus New York didn't really appear in danger, his official injury report listing nonetheless made his status worth confirming. Now that he's been made active, Brown is in a position to continue to share backfield duties with Zack Moss. With that arrangement in play, during Cincinnati's first five contests this season, Brown has carried 41 times for 230 yards and two TDs and added 10 catches for 39 yards and another score, while Moss has recorded 57 carries for 211 yards and two touchdowns and caught 15 passes for 124 yards and a TD.
OCTOBER 13 • ROTOWIRE
Should play Sunday night Brown (quadricep), who is listed as questionable for Sunday night's contest against the Giants, is expected to play, Jordan Schultz of FOX Sports reports.
Impact Head coach Zac Taylor confirmed as much talking with the media Friday, but it's still a sigh of relief for fantasy managers given the 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff could have complicated some decisions. Expect Brown and Zack Moss to continue operating in the tandem that has seen both running backs total three touchdowns on the young campaign.
OCTOBER 12 • ROTOWIRE
Questionable for Sunday Brown (quadricep) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at the Giants.
Impact Brown was a midweek addition to the Bengals' practice report Thursday as limited due to a quad injury. On Friday, coach Zac Taylor relayed to Geoff Hobson of the team's official site that both Brown and fellow RB Zack Moss (foot) were good to go for Week 6 action, but Brown won't avoid a designation heading into the weekend. While Brown seemingly is in line to be available Sunday, his status won't be confirmed until about 90 minutes before an 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff.

Impact The quad injury that limited Brown on Thursday was evidently very minor, and he's in line to continue to share backfield duties with Zack Moss (foot), who is also set to be available this weekend, per Taylor. Through Cincinnati's first five contests, Brown has carried 41 times for 230 yards and two TDs and added 10 catches for 39 yards and a lone receiving score, while Moss has logged 57 carries for 211 yards and two TDs and caught 15 passes for 124 yards and a receiving score.
OCTOBER 11 • ROTOWIRE
Added to injury report Brown was added to the injury report Thursday as a limited practice participant due to a quadriceps injury, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Impact With Zack Moss recovering from a foot injury, there's been some thought Brown could take on a huge workload this Sunday against the Giants. That's still a possibility, only now there's another variable. The Bengals' No. 3 running back, Trayveon Williams, has largely been a special teams player throughout his six-year pro career.

Impact The second-year RB led the Bengals in rushing yards while seeing 15 or more touches for the second straight game. While Brown's usage is already on the upswing, he could have the backfield to himself in Week 6 against the Giants, as Zack Moss suffered an ankle injury late in the fourth quarter Sunday and didn't get another touch the rest of the way.
OCTOBER 6 • ROTOWIRE
Draws even split in backfield Brown rushed the ball 15 times for 80 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 34-24 win over the Panthers. He added two receptions on three targets for 12 yards.
Impact After showcasing strong efficiency on limited touches through three games, Brown managed to match Zack Moss' workload in Week 4. That began early on near the goal line when Brown replaced Moss and punched in the team's first touchdown of the day from three yards away. With the team in positive game script for much of the second half, Brown split carries evenly and tallied another touchdown from one yard out while also recording a long run of 20 yards. It's unclear whether Brown has secured this role consistently moving forward, but his usage Sunday was a significant step forward for his fantasy utility.

Leading rusher on seven totes Brown rushed seven times for 62 yards and caught two of three targets for seven yards in Monday's 38-33 loss to the Commanders.
Impact Brown continued to excel in his current change-of-pace role behind starter Zack Moss (12-58-1) in Monday's primetime loss. The sophomore rusher wound up leading the Bengals in rushing yards despite receiving five less carries than the team's incumbent starter. Brown would need a promotion or an injury to open up playing time to become a trustworthy fantasy option in standard leagues. That said, his strong production on a per-touch basis this season highlights a potential stash option as the season progresses. Those in deeper formats can give the 2023 fifth-round pick a look against the Panthers in Week 4.
SEPTEMBER 24 • ROTOWIRE
Limited impact in loss Brown rushed four times for 31 yards while also returning a kick for 28 yards in Sunday's 26-25 loss to Kansas City.
Impact Brown was limited to just four touches while playing 13 of the team's 64 offensive snaps, most notably scampering for a 12-yard rush in the fourth quarter. The running back is firmly behind Zack Moss as Cincinnati's No. 2 option in the backfield in the early going as Moss played 51 snaps with the offense. Through two games, Brown has turned seven carries into 42 rushing yards while securing all three of his targets for 12 yards. His 6.0 yards per carry is promising compared to Moss's 3.7 and Brown will likely see his workload increase as the season goes on. After a pair of tough matchups to open the season, Brown will look to get loose against the Commanders' defense that has allowed 241 rushing yards through two games.
