GAME LOG

Scores two-yard TD versus Michigan Stewart accrued three receptions (on seven targets) for 16 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 38-17 victory over Michigan.
Impact Stewart got the Ducks on the board when he scored a two-yard touchdown on a back shoulder throw from quarterback Dillon Gabriel in the first quarter. The junior wideout still logged less than 20 receiving yards for the second week in a row. Stewart looked like he was on the come up in this receiver depth chart after his breakout 149-yard performance against Ohio State, but he's now averaged a relatively modest 5.0 targets per game across the last three weeks. The Ducks also lost No. 1 receiver Tez Johnson to an apparent shoulder injury in the first quarter. Should Johnson miss time moving forward, then Stewart could see an increased target share in what has been a balanced receiving corps this season.

Watch: Miraculous TD catch by Oregon's Evan Stewart silences Big House, but is called back The play, unfortunately for Oregon, didn't count due to an ineligible player downfield.
1 DAY AGO • OREGONLIVE.COM
Logs 96 yards in blowout win Stewart caught all four targets for 96 yards during Friday's 35-0 win against Purdue.
Impact Stewart had an explosive outing for the second week in a row. The Texas A&M transfer was featured right away on the Ducks' first offensive series, logging receptions of 14 and 49 yards. Stewart seems to have finally found his footing in the offense over the past three games, as he's totaled 13 catches for 265 yards and two touchdowns over this span. Fellow starting wideout Traeshon Holden was held out for an apparent non-injury related issue versus Purdue. If Holden remains sidelined, then Stewart could stand to serve an even bigger role during what is expected to be a much more competitive matchup next week versus Illinois.
OCTOBER 20 • ROTOWIRE
Breaks out in huge win Stewart gathered in seven of eight targets for 149 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 32-31 victory versus Ohio State.
Impact Stewart showed up in what could end up being Oregon's biggest game of the regular season. The Texas A&M transfer made up for the loss of Traeshon Holden, who was ejected for spitting in the first half. Stewart finished over 100 receiving yards for just the second time this season, including a team-long 69-yard reception and a 10-yard touchdown early in the second quarter. This also came after the junior wideout totaled just 12 targets over Oregon's previous three games. No. 1 wideout Tez Johnson still tallied a team-high 10 targets; yet, Stewart's massive outing in a game of this magnitude could set him up to be a much-more consistent contributor moving forward. His next opportunity will come during next week's road game at Purdue, which fell to 1-5 with a 50-49 loss to Illinois on Saturday.
OCTOBER 13 • ROTOWIRE
Catches nine-yard score Friday Stewart gathered in 2 of 4 targets for 20 yards and one touchdown during Friday's 31-10 victory versus Michigan State.
Impact Stewart caught his second touchdown of the season on a nine-yard scoring connection with quarterback Dillon Gabriel in the second quarter. The Texas A&M transfer still finished with fewer targets, receptions and yards than fellow wideouts Tez Johnson and Traeshon Holden, as these two tallied 13 and five targets, respectively. Through five games, Stewart has accrued 16 catches (on 20 targets) for 182 yards, and he's seemed to fall behind Holden in the receiving hierarchy as of late. Stewart will look to carve out a bigger target share during next week's heavyweight matchup against Ohio State.

Oregon Fans Call for Texas A&M Transfer Evan Stewart to be 'Unleashed' The highly-touted wideout has just 14 catches so far this season.
OCTOBER 4 • NEWSOBSERVER.COM
Logs nine yards in easy win Stewart posted three receptions (on four targets) for nine yards during Saturday's 34-13 victory over UCLA.
Impact Stewart logged exactly four targets for the second game in a row. His lackluster stat line is only made worse by Traeshon Holden's solid performance, as the latter logged six targets and a touchdown Saturday. Outside of his standout 112-yard performance against Boise State in Week 2, Stewart has totaled nine catches (on 13 targets) for 50 yards across his three other games this year. With Tez Johnson squarely locked into the WR1 role, it looks like Stewart might just be in line for a supporting role in Oregon's passing game this season. The Texas A&M transfer will look to work his way back into a more significant role during this coming Friday's home matchup versus Michigan State.
SEPTEMBER 30 • ROTOWIRE
Shows up versus Boise State Stewart notched five receptions (on seven targets) for 112 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 37-34 win versus Boise State.
Impact Stewart's production bounced back after a lackluster Week 1 debut with Oregon when he caught three of five targets for just 15 yards. The Texas A&M transfer led the team in catches, targets and receiving yards after he appeared to fall to the wayside behind Tez Johnson last week. Stewart also showcased his elite vertical route-running with receptions of 67 and 34 yards - the latter of which was a walk-in touchdown. However, his other three catches went for three, six and one yard, and his apparent lack of usage in the intermediate passing game could mean he's a boom-of-bust proposition for fantasy moving forward this year. He'll look to wrack up more long catches at Oregon State this coming Saturday.

SEPTEMBER 8 • ROTOWIRE
Modest outing in Oregon debut Stewart reeled in three of five targets for 15 yards during Saturday's 24-14 win versus Idaho.
Impact Stewart got off to a slow start in his Oregon career. The junior wideout from Texas A&M was one of the highest-rated player in the transfer portal this offseason, and he is expected to form one of the nation's most dangerous 1-2 punches at wideout this season alongside Tez Johnson. However, Stewart's target share got lost in the shuffle Week 1, as he finished third in this category behind Johnson (13) and tight end Terrance Ferguson (nine) on Saturday. What's more concerning was that he only saw five targets on a day in which quarterback Dillon Gabriel completed 41 of 49 passing attemps for 380 yards. This could have something to do with the fact that Oregon needed to lean on its more proven playmakers in what was a much tighter win than expected Week 1. Stewart will look to make a bigger impact when Oregon faces one of the best teams from the G5 ranks in Boise State next Saturday.

Targeted often in win Stewart reeled in 6 of 11 targets for 55 yards during Saturday's 30-17 victory versus South Carolina.
Impact Teammate Ainias Smith ended up with the bigger outing in terms of receiving yardage, but Stewart was clearly the top target of quarterback Max Johnson for the game. Unfortunately, Stewart has been unable to capitalize on those opportunities of late, failing to gain more than 55 yards receiving in each of the last five contests. A likely shootout at Ole Miss could help Stewart's cause next weekend, though.
OCTOBER 29, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Suspension ends Stewart (coach's decision) will be available to play this Saturday against Arkansas, Chuck Carlton of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact Stewart will be able to play again after being suspended for one game by the Texas A&M coaching staff due to a violation of team rules. The true freshman wideout tied with senior Ainias Smith for a team-high ten catches through the first two weeks of the season. Stewart and fellow freshman Chris Marshall, who was also suspended one game, will now both be available to catch passes from newly-named starting quarterback Max Johnson this week against the Razorbacks.

Impact Texas A&M will reportedly be without a number of highly touted freshmen Saturday with Stewart and Chris Marshall likely out due to a violation of team rules. Ainias Smith and Chase Lane stand to be the primary receivers for the Aggies.
