Darius Slayton - Placed in concussion protocol Slayton has been placed in the NFL's five-step concussion protocol following Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Commanders, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Slayton was evaluated for a head injury late in the fourth quarter, and the tests revealed a concussion. The veteran wide receiver will need to be cleared by an independent neurologist before he can resume playing. Slayton's placement in concussion protocol could affect the interest in him from other teams prior to the Nov. 5 trade deadline.

Devin Singletary - Gets seven carries to Tracy's 16 Singletary rushed seven times for 33 yards and wasn't targeted in Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Commanders.
Impact Tyrone Tracy cleared concussion protocol Friday and reprised his role as the Giants' lead back, limiting Singletary to a change-of-pace role. New York's running game is well positioned for success in Week 10 against the generous Panthers defense in Germany, but Singletary will likely continue to cede the majority of carries to Tracy.

Impact Jones produced his first MetLife Stadium touchdown in 672 days with a two-yard touchdown pass to Chris Manhertz in the second quarter, but the much maligned quarterback finished the first half with zero passing yards. He thought he had a three-yard touchdown pass to Wan'Dale Robinson in the third quarter, but it was called back due to a questionable offensive pass interference penalty. There was no doubt about Jones' two-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter, which was his first rushing score of the season and part of his second-highest rushing yardage total of the season, two shy of Jones' 56 rushing yards against the Bengals in Week 6. Jones tacked on a 35-yard touchdown pass to Theo Johnson later in the fourth, but the Giants' comeback attempt came up short, dropping New York to 2-7 heading into a Week 10 matchup against the Panthers in Munich, Germany.

Tyrone Tracy Jr. - Gets 17 touches in Week 9 loss Tracy (concussion) rushed 16 times for 66 yards and caught his only target for three yards in Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Commanders.
Impact Tracy didn't have any limitations after clearing concussion protocol Friday, as the rookie running back's 16 rushing attempts marked the fourth-highest total of his young career. Impact Nabers didn't catch his only first-half target as Daniel Jones had zero passing yards at halftime. The rookie receiver came alive in the second half, as his team-high reception and yardage totals included a two-yard catch on which Nabers managed to stretch the ball out and just barely convert on fourth-and-2 in the third quarter. Nabers has totaled at least 11 targets in five of his first seven NFL games, and he'll likely stay busy when the Giants travel to Munich, Germany to face the Panthers in Week 10.

Impact The report is somewhat vague, as Raanan doesn't specifically note if Gano will be ready to resume practicing next week. Gano was placed on injured reserve Sept. 17 with a right hamstring strain, and the Giants have yet to open his 21-day evaluation window even though he'll be missing his seventh straight game Sunday against the Commanders. Greg Joseph had been serving as Gano's replacement, but after Joseph landed on injured reserve Saturday with an abdominal injury, the Giants signed Jude McAtamney off their practice squad to handle Week 9 kicking duties. Unless Gano starts practicing during the upcoming week, McAtamney could remain the Giants' kicker for their Nov. 10 matchup with the Panthers as well.
