Rare steal in win Bailey went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Cardinals.
Impact Bailey has gone 12-for-43 (.279) with three extra-base hits and four RBI over his last 14 games. His steal Saturday was his fourth of the year and his first since July 22. The catcher has put together a middling year at the plate, slashing .234/.298/.339 with eight home runs, 46 RBI, 46 runs scored, 16 doubles and a triple over 121 contests. While he hasn't hit all that well, Bailey's elite pitch framing and arm have made him an essential part of the Giants' roster.

Leaves yard Tuesday Bailey went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, a walk and three runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Diamondbacks.
Impact Bailey got the Giants on the board with a solo home run in the second inning and then came around to score twice more in the third and fifth. The home run was his first since July 10 and just his fourth extra-base hit since Aug. 17. He now has five multi-hit games this month and is putting up near-similar numbers to his rookie campaign in 2023, slashing .235/.297/.342 with eight homers, 44 RBI, 45 runs, three steals and a 37:97 BB:K in 436 plate appearances.

The catcher is slashing .235/.298/.340 with seven home runs, 42 RBI, 41 runs scored and three stolen bases through 108 contests overall. He should continue to handle a starting role behind the dish with Curt Casali as his backup.

Activated from injured list The Giants activated Bailey (oblique) from the 10-day injured list, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Impact Bailey needed just the minimum 10-day absence with a strained oblique and will return without having gone on a rehab assignment. The switch-hitting catcher had been slashing just .057/.089/.075 in August prior to the injury. Andrew Knapp was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.
AUGUST 29 • ROTOWIRE

Impact The 25-year-old has been sidelined since Aug. 18 due to an oblique strain, but he'll rejoin the active roster Thursday after being sidelined for the 10-day minimum. Bailey was slumping in August prior to the injury with a .057/.089/.075 slash line in 15 games, but he'll attempt to close the month strong now that he's healthy.
AUGUST 28 • ROTOWIRE
Resuming baseball activities Bailey (oblique) will resume baseball activities this weekend, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports Friday.
Impact Bailey is expected to return from the 10-day injured list before the calendar flips to September, but we now have a clearer image of where he is in the recovery process. Bailey becomes eligible for activation Aug. 29.
AUGUST 23 • ROTOWIRE

AUGUST 20 • ROTOWIRE
Late scratch Monday Bailey has been scratched from the starting lineup for Monday's game against the White Sox, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
