Will get another shot at third base Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Thursday that the team plans to give Frelick another look at third base next season, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Impact Frelick played third base often during spring training but moved back to the outfield when Garrett Mitchell fractured his hand shortly before Opening Day and played just four innings at third during the season. However, the club was pleased with how Frelick looked at the hot corner and like the option of using him there, even if it might not be on a regular basis.
OCTOBER 10 • ROTOWIRE
On Milwaukee's wild-card roster Frelick (hip) is on the Brewers' roster for the National League Wild Card Series versus the Mets, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Impact Frelick suffered a bone bruise in his left hip during the final weekend of the regular season, but he went through a workout Monday and convinced the Brewers he was healthy enough to be included on their wild-card roster. While he will be available off the bench, Frelick is not expected to be in the lineup Tuesday for Game 1, as Garrett Mitchell is slated to start in right field.
OCTOBER 1 • ROTOWIRE
Status for wild-card series TBD Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Monday that Frelick's (hip) status for the wild-card series remains uncertain, Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin reports.
Impact Frelick was diagnosed with a bone bruise in his left hip Saturday, but he is still noticeably gimpy and will undergo more testing Monday. If Frelick is ultimately not ready for the wild-card series which begins Tuesday, Blake Perkins should see an increase in responsibility.
SEPTEMBER 30 • ROTOWIRE
Diagnosed with bone bruise Frelick was diagnosed with a bone bruise in his left hip Saturday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Impact The Brewers believe Frelick was able to avoid suffering any structural damage as a result of his collision with the wall in right field Friday, so the 24-year-old will avoid the injured list for now and remain eligible to play in the NL Wild Card Series. Isaac Collins will start in left field Saturday, though Blake Perkins figures to take on the majority of Frelick's reps while he's sidleined.

SEPTEMBER 28 • ROTOWIRE
Set for MRI on hip Manager Pat Murphy said after Friday's game that Frelick will receive an MRI on his left hip Saturday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Impact Murphy added that initial X-rays on Frelick's hip were inconclusive after the 24-year-old outfielder left Friday's contest following a collision with a cut-out portion of the right field wall. The results of his MRI will give the team a better idea of his status for the rest of the weekend series and the start of the postseason, but he should be considered day-to-day for now. If Frelick ends up having to miss time, Blake Perkins and Garrett Mitchell would likely take on an everyday role in Milwaukee's outfield.
SEPTEMBER 28 • ROTOWIRE
Exits with injury Frelick was removed from Friday's game against the Mets with an apparent leg injury, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Impact Frelick went down after crashing hard into the wall in right field while attempting to catch a foul ball in the third inning. He was able to slowly limp off the field under his own power but then needed assistance from the Brewers' training staff getting down the dugout steps and into the clubhouse. An update on his status will likely come in the near future, though it's possible the Brewers sit the 24-year-old down for the final two games of the season with a playoff berth already secured.

Out of Sunday's lineup Frelick is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.
Impact Frelick started against a southpaw Saturday but will head to the bench Sunday versus Colorado lefty Sal Frelick. Jackson Chourio will shift to right field while Isaac Collins makes his MLB debut in left.

Not in Friday's lineup Frelick is out of the lineup for Friday's game versus the Rockies.
Impact Frelick has been operating as Milwaukee's primary right fielder against right-handed pitching, but he'll sit Friday against Colorado righty Ryan Feltner. Garrett Mitchell is starting in right field and batting cleanup.
SEPTEMBER 6 • ROTOWIRE
Resting against lefty Frelick is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.
Impact Frelick will take a seat for the second game in a row, this time against a left-handed pitcher (Brandon Williamson) after he had been excluded from the lineup Saturday versus right-handed opening pitcher Fernando Cruz. The outfielder fouled a ball off his shin Wednesday against the Giants, and though he returned to the lineup two days later and played both ends of a doubleheader with the Reds, Brewers manager Pat Murphy may just have wanted to exercise some extra caution with Frelick by giving him two straight days off. September call-up Brewer HIcklen will step in for Frelick as the Brewers' starter in right field Sunday.

SEPTEMBER 1 • ROTOWIRE
Sitting Saturday Frelick isn't in the Brewers' lineup for Saturday's game against Cincinnati.
Impact Frelick has been heating up at the plate as of late, going 9-for-23 with four RBI and four runs scored over his last six games. He'll get a chance to rest Saturday while Jackson Chourio, Blake Perkins and Garrett Mitchell form the Brewers' outfield trio.
AUGUST 31 • ROTOWIRE
Back in lineup Friday Frelick (shin) will start in right field and bat eighth in the first game of Friday's doubleheader in Cincinnati.
Impact Frelick exited Wednesday's game versus the Giants after fouling a ball off his shin and then didn't play Thursday. That was viewed as more of a routine day off than an injury-related concern, however, and Frelick is back in there for the first game of the twin bill.
AUGUST 30 • ROTOWIRE
Getting day off Frelick is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Giants.
Impact As Adam McCalvy of MLB.com notes, Frelick fouled a ball off himself during Wednesday's 5-3 win and was removed from the contest in the top of the eighth inning, but his early exit seems to have been mostly precautionary. McCalvy characterized Frelick's absence from the lineup Thursday as more of an off day rather than the result of legitimate concern about his health, so the expectation is that the 24-year-old will be back in the lineup for Friday's series opener in Cincinnati. Garrett Mitchell will spell Frelick in right field Thursday.
AUGUST 29 • ROTOWIRE
Sitting Saturday Frelick is absent from Saturday's lineup against Oakland.
Impact Frelick went 2-for-4 with one double and one run scored in Friday's 11-3 win over the Athletics. Over his last five games, he's gone 7-for-18 with three runs scored, one stolen base and one RBI. Garrett Mitchell will start in right field and bat seventh.
AUGUST 24 • ROTOWIRE
Flashes wheels in win Frelick went 2-for-4 with a triple, a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Cardinals.
Impact He opened the scoring in the second inning with a single that drove in Willy Adames, then came home himself in the fifth after ripping a one-out triple into the right-field corner. Frelick's steal was his 16th of the year, but despite Tuesday's performance he's slashing just .226/.293/.302 through 17 games in August with zero homers, two stolen bases, four RBI and 10 runs.
AUGUST 21 • ROTOWIRE
Raps four hits in blowout Frelick went 4-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored during Thursday's 16-7 win versus Atlanta.
Impact Frelick tallied four singles as the Brewers totaled 20 hits on the afternoon, and he's without an extra-base hit in his past 11 contests. The 24-year-old is batting .274 through 102 games this season but isn't offering much pop with a .344 slugging percentage. Frelick has two homers, 15 steals, 20 RBI and 51 runs scored.
AUGUST 8 • ROTOWIRE
Retreating to bench versus lefty Frelick is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta.
Impact The lefty-hitting Frelick will head to the bench for the second time in three games while the Brewers face off against another southpaw (Chris Sale). Blake Perkins will take Frelick's spot in the outfield, manning center while batting seventh.
AUGUST 7 • ROTOWIRE
Idle against southpaw Frelick is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.
Impact The lefty-hitting Frelick had started in each of Milwaukee's last five games -- including two against left-handed starters -- but he'll head to the bench Sunday while southpaw Mitchell Parker takes the hill for the Nationals. Jackson Chourio, Blake Perkins and Garrett Mitchell will make up the Milwaukee outfield from left to right.
AUGUST 4 • ROTOWIRE
Crosses plate three times Friday Frelick went 2-for-4 with three runs scored in Friday's 8-3 win over the Nationals.
Impact Getting another start in right field and batting seventh, Frelick singled in the second and eighth innings and got hit by a pitch in the sixth, coming around to score all three times. Over his last 16 contests, the 24-year-old is slashing .309/.377/.418 with two steals, two RBI and nine runs. Brice Turang has a .220 OBP since the beginning of July, and if manager Pat Murphy elects to shake up his batting order against right-handed pitching, Frelick's making a strong case to get a look in the leadoff spot.
AUGUST 3 • ROTOWIRE
Sitting Sunday Frelick is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against Miami.
Impact Frelick will begin the series finale in the dugout after going 1-for-7 with two strikeouts over the first two games of the series. Jake Bauers, Garrett Mitchell and Jackson Chourio will start in the outfield Sunday.
JULY 28 • ROTOWIRE
Taking seat Wednesday Frelick is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs.
Impact With the exception of right fielder Garrett Mitchell, the Brewers will send out an all-right-handed-hitting lineup against Cubs southpaw Justin Steele, with Frelick and fellow lefty-hitting regular Brice Turang heading to the bench. Blake Perkins will take Frelick's spot in the outfield, covering center field while batting ninth.
